Sensitivity：Hygroscopic.It reacts violently with potassium. 

Application：It is used as a bromating agent of organic synthesis, a photographic intensifier and a stabilizer of acetylated paraformaldehyde,as brominating agent of organic synthesis, photographic image enhancer,a stabilizer for acetylation of polyformaldehyde. 

Storage:Kept in containers tightly closed.Stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse. Incompatible with oxidizing agents and alkali metals.Away from moisture.
