As is well known, catalysts have important and widespread applications in chemical production. For example, in sulfuric acid production, vanadium pentoxide is used as a catalyst to improve the reaction rate. In terms of environmental protection, platinum is used as a catalyst to quickly convert CO and NO in car exhaust into harmless CO2. The main chemicals used by Qinglang Environmental Protection are nickel acetate, nickel fluoride, nickel carbonate, and cobalt acetate. Next, I will explain to you the purposes of the three.

Nickel acetate:

Nickel acetate appears as a green crystalline or powder, soluble in water, ethanol, and ammonia. The main purpose is to:

1. Used for manufacturing tungsten, tungstic acid, tungstate, etc

2. Used for mordant, pigment, dye and ink.

3. The fabric weighting agent in the textile industry is a mixture composed of sodium tungstate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium phosphate, etc., used for fire prevention and waterproofing of fibers. This can be used to make fireproof rayon and artificial cotton, and can also be used for leather tanning.

4. Used for anti-corrosion of electroplating coatings.

5. The introduction of porcelain glaze pigments as a solvent can reduce the firing temperature and complement the color.

6. Used in the manufacturing of petroleum industry and aerospace materials.

7. It is used as an indicator in analytical chemistry experiments.

Nickel fluoride:

Nickel fluoride is the crystal of chartreuse or light yellow square crystal system, hygroscopic, slightly soluble in water, about 2.5% solubility at 25 ℃, also slightly soluble in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, easily soluble in hydrofluoric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, dilute nitric acid. The properties are relatively stable and slowly transform into oxides at the melting point temperature. Hydrolysis shows acidity, therefore it cannot be contained in glass containers; The specific uses are as follows:

1. Used as a catalyst, surface treatment agent for aluminum alloys, fluorinating agent and catalyst for organic synthesis, etc;

2. Used as a surface treatment agent for aluminum alloys, metal coloring, catalyst, etc;

3. Suitable for surface treatment of aluminum profiles and the production of inks, fluorescent lamps, organic synthesis fluorinating agents and catalysts.

Nickel carbonate:

Nickel carbonate is a carbonate of nickel, with a slanted light green crystal that decomposes at temperatures above 300 ℃; Soluble in ammonia and dilute acids, insoluble in water.

Usage: Nickel plating, the main component of ceramic glaze, and oil hardening catalyst.
